SVRC Running and Racing Programs

South Valley Running Club promotes all kinds of running and racing events. From the local 5 and 10K, to the more national marathon and ultra marathon events.

Club members are very active in all distances and participate in a variety of events through out the year. SVRC sponsors 2-3 runs per year. These runs are marked, timed and free to all club members. Additionally, for those more competitive club members, these events are eligible towards the yearly Grand Prix points series.

Upcoming Running Event

Mushroom Mardi Gras 10k/5k
  When: Sunday, May 24, 2008
  What: 10k/5k; 8:00 a.m.
  Where: Ranger Station at Malaguerra & Morning Star; Morgan Hill

Registration is available via paper registration form.

Freedom 1m & 5k
  When: Friday, July 4, 2008
  What: 1M Kids run 8:00 a.m., 5k 8:10 a.m.
  Where: PA Walsh Elementary School, 353 W. Main, Morgan Hill

For Club members these events are part of the Grand Prix series for the year.
For others, it is a great opportunity to have fun on a timed marked course and an event where you can meet other runners of your same caliber.

To order your SVRC team shirt follow these instructions.
1. Click on Order Club Shirts to open the Shirt company website.
2. The next page is titled "Pick Your Graphic". You will see the SVRC logo displayed. Under the logo on the right click “Choose this design"
3. The next page is titled "Pick Your Style". Here choose the type of shirt you want.
4. The next page is titled "Pick Your Size". You make your choice; there is a sizing chart available to help you choose a proper fit.
5. The next page is titled "Pick Your Location". Here you choose “Back”
6. The next page is titled "Would you like something on the Front?". Go to the bottom of the screen and in the Special Instructions Window enter “The graphic should be located on the upper left chest area”. This lets the company know to place a small version of the logo on the front of the shirt. Now click “Go”.
7. The next page is titled “Pic your Graphic”. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and find our logo. Click “Choose this design”.
